goodnewsfromstudent.com – In a bid to foster community empowerment and entrepreneurship, students from the 10th Post of the Thematic Independent Initiative Community Service Program (KKN MIT) 18 of UIN Walisongo Semarang conducted a workshop on crafting wire bouquets in Randusari Village. The event, held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, saw enthusiastic participation from 35 local women involved in the Family Welfare Movement (PKK).

The training, which took place at the Randusari Village Hall in Rowosari Kendal from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, aimed to equip participants with new skills that could be turned into business opportunities. Wire was chosen as the primary material due to its availability and affordability.

This entrepreneurial training, a core project of the economic and entrepreneurship division, is designed to provide a platform for developing skills relevant to current market trends. Lusiyati, the head of the PKK, expressed her hopes for the workshop: “This training, conducted by KKN students, is beneficial for all of us. Bouquet making is a necessary skill in today’s era, and it also helps students integrate into the community.”

Led by experienced members of the economic and entrepreneurship division, the training began with an introduction to the necessary materials and tools, including wire, scissors, glue guns, and additional decorations. Participants were then guided through the steps of crafting wire into flower arrangements and assembling them into beautiful bouquets.

One of the participants, Mrs. Fathonah, voiced her gratitude: “We are very thankful to the students for imparting this new knowledge to us. We hope to further develop these skills.”

This initiative not only aims to boost local entrepreneurship but also strengthens the bond between students and the community, fostering a spirit of mutual growth and learning.
